Sushi Tomi

5 Oct

There’s a rule in our household against buying sashimi from the store. Sure, it’s cheaper, but you seriously get what you pay for. So no matter how attractive a package of salmon sashimi looks at any Japanese market, the answer is… NO MAN, NO MAN, NO MAN!

Instead of eating store bought sashimi, we decided to have good sushi once a month.  An all-time favorite of ours in Mountain View is Sushi Tomi (perpendicular to Castro Street). It’s not a fancy date-like place, but come on, we’re married now… it’s completely legit eating at the sushi bar.

Next month, I think we’ll just go for a whole slab of salmon and tuna on a bed of sushi rice and just forget everything else.
