Miso Salmon

8 Sep

This was inspired by Cheescake Factory’s “Miso Salmon”. During a visit to Cheesecake Factory, my husband was mentioning to me how he loved this “comfort food” dish. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not great at replicating American or Italian dishes (due to the fact that large amounts of butter and dairy products scare me), but anything remotely Asian, I will try to replicate. Since the husband loved this dish so much, I decided that I will give it a shot one day and see how it turns out.

I am also a fan of recipes that use everyday kitchen items just so you don’t have to go out of your way to get something you will only use a sprinkle of on one dish. I found this simple but delicious recipe online and decided to try it out. Not only is this simple and delicious, it’s also healthy!

Ingredients: salmon filet, salt & pepper (season on salmon), miso paste (2 Tbsp), (light) soy sauce (2 Tbsp), (light) brown sugar (1/4 cup), hot water (2 Tbsp)

Whisk the above ingredients and then brush onto the salmon. Broil for 10-12 minutes.

… after 10-12 minutes, this comes out! (In the back is peanut butter noodles with bell peppers, another easy yet tasty recipe.) Garnish with green onions to your heart’s desire.

Bon Appetit!
